Compassion Cultivation Training | 8-Week Online Course | West Valley College Title IVE. Mar 30, 2021.

Compassion Cultivation Training - CCT© is an eight-week course developed in the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education - CCARE at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. The program is designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy and kindness for oneself and for others. CCT integrates traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. The CCT protocol was developed at Stanford University by a team of contemplative scholars, clinical psychologists, and researchers.

This training is available through West Valley College Title IV-E Collaborative. Santa Clara County Title IV-E Collaborative training events are free for all who qualify.

Eligible Participants include:

  • Staff of residential treatment facilities in Santa Clara County, CA

  • Foster and adoptive parents

  • Prospective foster and adoptive parents

  • Santa Clara County social workers

  • Santa Clara County children’s mental health providers

  • Staff of community-based organizations that serve children and families in Santa Clara County

  • College and university students in academic preparation to work with families and children
