Compassion Cultivation Training - CCT© is an eight-week course developed in the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education - CCARE at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. The program is designed to develop the qualities of compassion, empathy and kindness for oneself and for others. CCT integrates traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and scientific research on compassion. The CCT protocol was developed at Stanford University by a team of contemplative scholars, clinical psychologists, and researchers.

This training is available through West Valley College Title IV-E Collaborative. Santa Clara County Title IV-E Collaborative training events are free for all who qualify.

Eligible Participants include:

  • Staff of residential treatment facilities in Santa Clara County, CA

  • Foster and adoptive parents

  • Prospective foster and adoptive parents

Compassion: Online Gatherings

I’ll remain hosting online gatherings during the month of April. These sessions will be focused on exploring together how compassion can support you in your everyday life. If you wish to participate and learn more, I invite you to attend any of the 30-min sessions. Please note, some sessions are in Spanish and some in English.

If you can’t attend online but have time to read, you are welcome to visit my page here, where you can find references and research articles regarding the science of compassion.

Please know you can join as many sessions as you want, invite a family member or forward this information to colleagues at work. All sessions are free and open to all via Zoom. If you wish to attend please register and I’ll send you the link to connect.
